Definition of Social Diversity and Change.
When I think of social diversity and change I think of people from all over the world coming to one place and working together. Accepting each others differences and for what the offer as people. Each culture is differnt and makes different things more important than others. For example, The United States stresses that a college education is very important but in some cultures this is not as imporant as starting a family at a young age.

I agree Nora! In America it very common for one to smile at another or even shake hands with a stranger. There recently, within the last decade was a wal-mart established in Germany. Well, like most Americans weve been to a wal-mart. We have all come into contact with the door greeters their then who smile, talk, and give stickers.
ReplyDeleteWell in some european countries, the fast confrontation of someone being so fakely friendly is not accepted. The Germans simply were wierded out by the concept and thus the wal-mart did not succeed. That example is the reflection of a sociological difference within culture.
Culture is different everywhere even within the United States, I like your views on the differences of family and diversity.
