a. In my childhood I had to write papers about a certain topic and write several short essays for a project. One major writing piece I did was in fourth grade, I wrote a small 20 page book. My teacher had sent these short stories away and had the pages bound together. I would write poetry from time to time when I had a lot on my plate concerning school, sports, friends and family.
b. I find writing easy, but I have a problem elaborating on a topic without repeating myself. I also find myself not wanting to research my topic. I think that these two are connected because without research and a limited amount of information things can be repeated.
C I have done several different types of pieces. In my English 101 class I wrote numerous papers that I enjoyed. These papers include summarizing and analyzing the book “Blink”. I also got a chance to write an essay on something I would like to change in the world. He let us make mistakes and helped us change how we viewed writing. I thoroughly enjoyed the class.
d. I used to keep a diary when I was in grade school and throughout high school. It helped me sort through the thoughts I had during the day. I always found it would help me sleep easier at night knowing I had put all my issues of the day on paper.
e. I use email and text very often. I get my emails sent to my phone so I can respond immediately. I text a lot during the day, I have replaced calling with texting.
f. I have written application essays for collegese. I consider these professional essyas because they will be used in determingin whether or not you get into a certain school. As with a job application which is a formal writing because that will determine whether or not one will get the job.
g. The use of language is very different when it comes to school and home. At school language is a lot more casual in comparison to being at home. My parents use outlandish words at home so that our vocabulary is expanded.
h. I took three years of French in high school and I found it to be very difficult. To this day I cannot speak it. I am just not very good at learning different languages.
